We had the absolute pleasure to work with the Philadelphia All City Orchestra, during their 1st international tour in Italy!
In addition to being the official photographer/videographer of the tour, we had the opportunity to design everything from their logo to the travel banners, tour book, electronic posters for the Kimmel Center performance, tour ID tags, and their final donor Thank You book.
These young musicians, teachers and administrators were simply amazing, and we are honored to have been part of this very unique experience.

We met the Ariel Quartet this past summer, a very charismatic and talented group of musicians. Their creative minds knew exactly what they wanted, which made our job that much easier! We got to share a day with them while recording material for a new promo video and web assets for their new website. The promo is currently in the works, but their website is now live! Check out our web background video at www.arielquartet.com
…and of course, make sure you go check them out LIVE when they come to a town near you!!
This group never ceases to amaze me! We have worked with this intense and thought-provoking dance company for several years now and we were thrilled to have the opportunity to work on their re-branding, logo and their new digital press kit. All photos by Vanessa Briceño.
To see them live check out their schedule at www.tanztheater-ak.com

Earlier this year Vanessa had the opportunity to work as an on-set photographer for King Toledo & Mashable, during the filming of a series of short stories for Intel, on young innovators working to make the world a better place. We LOVE working on inspirational projects that motivate people, and that help others. Here are their stories, and some of the images! (These two were the girls we photographed, but feel free to browse through Mashable’s list of innovators)
We were introduced to the incredible world of ECCO several years ago, while recording some footage for a documentary dealing with Classical Music and its current incarnations. We had no idea we were about to be welcomed by one of the most talented, loving, fun, passionate and inspirational group of musicians we had ever met.
ECCO (East Coast Chamber Orchestra) is a self-conducted chamber orchestra, and the members of the group get together only a few times a year to enjoy a break from their very busy schedules (they are all seasoned professionals, whether as soloists or as members of some of the world’s finest orchestras and chamber groups), and convene each year to hang out with recent and life-long friends, to “explore musical works and perform concerts of the highest artistic quality.” Hands down, some of the best chamber orchestra performances we’ve seen.
As the years went by, we continued documenting, photographing, and archiving their performances and gatherings. If you have not seen them in action, check out the update to their promo (below). We hoped to capture the amazing energy, dedication, and intensity these young performers possess and share with their audiences. If you’re able to make it to any of their limited performances, do not hesitate to get your tickets. Seriously.

It was an honor to work with Yamaha Artist Services of NY and their artist Ching-Yun Hu this past month at the Curtis Institute of Music. Being able to photograph & listen to the amazing Ching-Yun was a real treat!
Well…it’s official!! We launched ILU Media & Design earlier this year, but just recently got to make the announcement public and celebrate with clients, colleagues, and friends! A great night all around, at the awesome Bourbon Blue in Manayunk! Thank You Scherzer Financial Inc. for sponsoring the event and for supporting our work!
For those that couldn’t join us, here’s the story behind the company’s name…ILÚ is the name of a mountain (a tepui or table-top mountain to be exact) located in southern Venezuela, the country where I was born. My father was part of the 1st scientific team to go up and study its geology, and being able to reach the top of one of these amazing mountains was a dream my mother and I always had. It is a magical place, pure, beautiful, and majestic. All words I would love people to associate with the work that we do. It is in any case, what we strive for!
We look forward to all the amazing projects we have lined up, and to sharing our passion and vision with old and new clients. It is a blessing to be able to do the work that we do, thank you all for your love, continued support, and the trust you place in us. Photos from the event can be found in our FB page (if you’re not a fan already, go ahead and LIKE us!) 🙂
Many, many thanks!

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of working on a series of images promoting my favorite painter and artist, Susana Amundarain. Playing with textures, color, objects and canvas are things I’ve always loved to do in her studio, so being able to share our workspace and collaborate once again, is a real treat!! Over the last year she has been creating incredible studio jewelry. The earrings, necklaces, and bracelets are more like miniature paintings (on canvas), and unlike the larger traditional pieces, you can touch-away! Thank you Melody W. for modeling and allowing me to wrap you up in canvas, Kelly Joell for the makeup & hair. You girls were awesome, it was so much fun!! Here are a few before and after shots from the session and upcoming promotional campaign. Stay tuned!
You would probably never find this man on Dr. Dre or Ful’s marketing campaigns…not their demographic?….well, Dr. Dre, think again! you may be missing out on a whole new market for your stuff!
I recently found these outtakes from a photo shoot last fall, which I took as we walked to our destination. I’m so glad I was able to click a few frames of these passersby (without being obnoxiously intrusive)…It not only goes to show that you are NEVER too old to be electronically fashionable, but it really got me thinking about the true meaning of “cool.” Hey, why wear those little noisy hearing aids when you can use “one of the lightest, loudest, and most durable headphones ever” (in beatsbydre.com own words). Not to mention your Ful Mini-Sling, and a pro wireless lavalier microphone for top quality sound. Products for the “cool” kids and pros? Maybe, but DEFINITELY for the real “life” pros that just need to hear a little better! …now that’s REALLY cool!
As they walked by us on their intimate park-tour, we all agreed he was definitely cooler than any of us. Just awesome.
I finally got my copy of ECCO’s CD!! …and to sum it up in one word: AAAAAMAZING!!
If you don’t know who they are, you MUST check them out (www.eastcoastchamberorchestra.com), AND get the CD (of course)! They are dear friends, but also one of the most talented groups of musicians out there today. Period. We were honored to be chosen to create their promo & sizzle videos, as well as being able to photograph their intense and fun recording session with Susan and Silas! Many of those photos, as well as several others taken during rehearsals and during a walk on a snowy mountain, are included in their CD artwork (so yet another reason to get the CD, especially the hard copy!)
The CD features Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings in C major; Shostakovich’s Chamber Symphony in C minor; & Geminiani/Wiancko’s “La Follia” Variations for String Orchestra.
I’m so proud of these guys (and gals!), and look forward to their continued success. Please keep on making musical magic for the rest of us!
